Sessions are generally 50 minutes, but depending on your needs we can schedule longer. We can chat about what feels right during our initial call.

Most clients start with weekly sessions, which helps us build momentum and get to know each other. As things progress, we may shift to every other week depending on your goals and what feels most supportive. In the early stages I generally recommend keeping sessions no further apart than every other week so we have the consistency needed to make real progress. We'll always figure out the pace together as we go.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
What does a typical session with you look like?
No two sessions look exactly the same, and that's intentional! Some sessions are more talk-based, exploring what's happening emotionally or psychologically. Others incorporate somatic or body-based work, mindfulness, or elements of Pain Reprocessing Therapy or Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy. I follow your lead and adapt to what you need that day. What stays consistent is the quality of attention and care I bring to every session.

Can therapy really help me feel better?
It is helpful to think of our work together not as a guaranteed cure, but as an invitation to shift your relationship with what you are carrying. Whether you are navigating chronic pain, deep grief, or a major life transition, I don’t promise a life totally free of discomfort or sorrow. The reality is that loss, illness, and upheaval aren't always things we can leave behind. What I do offer is a way to help you shift the balance, so that the weight of these experiences is no longer the thing calling all the shots.

I’m hesitant to start therapy. What if it doesn’t work?
I came to this work quite skeptical myself, and I found that my doubt didn’t stop the process from helping me. You don't need to arrive with any particular belief or a perfectly positive outlook. What matters more is a genuine sense of curiosity and a willingness to try something different than what you’ve done before. And if you’re feeling hesitant or have doubts, I encourage you to bring those into our sessions too!
