Something important has changed. Let's find out who you are on the other side of it.
Therapy for Chronic Pain, Life Transitions, Grief, and Anxiety in Boulder, Colorado.
You’re in the right place if…
❋ You're looking for relief from a chronic health condition. You've done the surgeries, the medications, the physical therapy. You've been told there's nothing structurally wrong, or that there is, and nothing is helping anyway. I get it. I’ve been there too.
❋ Life is changing and looks different than you expected. An unexpected injury or diagnosis. A traumatic event. A relationship that ended. A new role you weren’t ready for. I know what it's like to look around and not recognize the life you're living.
❋ You're carrying a loss that feels too heavy to carry alone.Maybe you’ve lost your health, your freedom, or your plans for the future. Maybe a pet or someone you know has passed away and the grief still feels like a heavy weight on your chest.
❋ Your mind won't stop, your body’s on edge, and you're exhausted. You can't remember the last time you felt relaxed and present. You're not just looking for another coping strategy. You're looking for real, lasting relief.
— WHAT BECOMES POSSIBLE
Together, we’ll honor your story, engage your body’s wisdom, and help you find what that lies beyond.
What you've lost is real, and it deserves to be honored. Not minimized, not hurried, not explained away. We’ll sit in that unknowing together, gently, until you start to recognize yourself again, perhaps for the first time in a long time.
I can't tell you exactly what will shift, that part is yours to discover. But here is some of what I've witnessed in the people who I’ve worked with:
✓ A kinder, more compassionate relationship with your body, even on the hard days.
✓ The ability to recognize and openly express your feelings without becoming swept away by them.
✓ A returning sense of who you are, what matters to you most, and what you need.
✓ Less time lost to pain and fear, more time actually living and being present in you life.
✓ A new kind of trust in yourself that you didn't expect to find, even when the future is uncertain.
✓ Moments of genuine ease, presence, and even joy, sometimes for the first time in years.
Hi, I’m Melanie.
For years, I lived in a body that I felt disconnected from. It took my career, my idenity, and my spark.
In 2019, I had two concussions. The pain and fatigue that followed were so severe I couldn't read more than a few lines of text. I had to leave my career, nearly twenty years in international humanitarian aid, the work that had been my whole identity. I lost my vision, my vocation, and honestly, for a while, my sense of who I was.
What pulled me through was a combination of Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy, and the kind of deep inner work I'd been circling my whole life. Now I support others as a therapist, and while I'm not fully recovered, I have far more good days than bad. And I believe you can too.
— MY APPROACH
Therapy rooted in mind-body science and the wisdom of the whole person.
I work best with adults who are motivated, curious, and willing to try something new, especially those who sense that what they're facing goes deeper than a single diagnosis or difficult life event.

How to Get Started
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel like a lot — especially when you're already exhausted. I've tried to make this as simple and low-pressure as possible. Here's what it looks like to begin.
